His Life

Scott Weber Morris, 63 years old of Irvine, CA died peacefully in his sleep on February 5, 2014 after a long and valiant fight with melanoma.

Scott was born in New York City on June 9, 1950 to Stephen and Natalie Morris and grew up first on the west side and then on the east side of Central Park.  He graduated from New Lincoln School in Manhattan and received his Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University where he began his lifelong love affair with Orange Basketball.

Scott was a pioneer in the early days of computers and for many years managed computer systems for one of the leading paging and communications companies in New York City.  He subsequently moved to the West Coast for the opportunity to help develop and run the software for Pacific Telesis (PacTel) for all cellular telephones in Southern California. More recently, he was a real estate and stock investor.

Scott is survived by his brother, Guy Winston Morris, Guy’s wife Pamela and son Max, and Joven Matias who Scott raised as his son and his wife Leslie.  Scott will be missed and warmly remembered as a funny, generous and thoughtful man by his family and close friends.
