A message from Alison Carl White:
Thank you to everyone who has shared in our grief and celebration of Scott’s life. I have been overwhelmed with the generosity our community has shown us. One of the things Scott believed in most strongly was the potential of education to change lives. He loved that he attended public school from Kindergarten through his Masters degree from the University of Washington. When Barrett was only a week old, he set up his GET account and followed suit with Claire soon after she was born. He always encouraged our family to not buy toys for our kids for birthdays or holidays, but rather contribute to GET because he knew that your education was something no one could take away from you. I am so grateful for your support and I think Scott would be honored to have any financial contributions to us to go Barrett and Claire’s college education fund.

With gratitude,
Alison Carl White

Scott White was the chairman of the 46th Legislative District Democrats when I joined. I was impressed by how knowledgeable he was about many issues and he was always nice to everybody. His sudden passing is a terrible loss for his family, his community and his state.

Please accept my sincerest prayers and sympathies for your family during this difficult time. I did not know Scott, but I knew Alison very well from my past active involvement with Seattle Works when she was the Executive Director there. I was very very sorry to hear of Scott's untimely passing, and so my deepest thoughts are with you both now and in the future. May God bless you always.
