I'm so sorry I didn't visit you sooner. I have always missed you so much. You'll forever be in my memory and deep in my heart.

For those who love Serena and wonder who I am. I met Serena at Sacramento Children's home when we were 12. We were real close. We ran away together many times. I had the opportunity to briefly meet some of her family on one of our excursions, where I became close to her cousin Donny, and hoped to see him again. But I got locked up for beating up a girl pretending to be me and calling Donny's house collect. Boy that made me angry. That was the last time I saw Serena. We had talked on the phone a few times. I remember her calling me when a truck hit her and she lost her leg. I was devastated for her and offered encouragement the best I could. I got lost in my ways and lost touch with many of my loved ones. By the time I came around, it was Serena's funeral. I'm shattered I didn't visit sooner.
She was one down friend. I trusted her completely. I will always remember her, and her laugh. Can't forget her going EVERYWHERE barefooted. I would get on her for running away barefooted. I never understood that, but she held up. Thank you Serena for being my best friend when I really needed one. I will ALWAYS love you.
