Let the memory of Sgt. Steven be with us forever

Sgt. Steven L Talamantez, US Army, age 34 of San Antonio, TX, assigned to 3rd Battalion, 8th Calvary Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Calvary Division of Ft. Hood, was killed in action in Iraq on July, 10, 2011. He graduated from McCollum High School in 1995. Steven and his wife married in Laredo, TX where he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was currently on his second tour of duty. Steven was preceded in death by his father, Henry Talamantez and brother, Gabriel Talamantez. He is survived by his wife, Sandra S. Talamantez; mother, Esperanza Talamantez; son, Joseph Briones and daughter, Alexandra Menchaca. Family and friends alike always saw Steven as the life of the party, everywhere he went people were drawn to his outgoing personality and sense of humor. Steven was always regarded as a great and an excellent leader, who led by example and set a high standard for his men.

concerts and sporting events.
