Shari loved acting and the theater. Her favorite play was Wicked. She acted in several local plays at the Old Opera House and the Apollo Theater from 2012 to 2014.

Shari was taken away to soon. The time she had with us was never about her. She was always always doing wonderful duties for others. Many words to describe Shari and her love for others and the Lord.  She stayed so busy with helpful ideas to bring others a better life, any way she could help she would. Shari loved life to the fullest, she brought smiles and sunshine.  I got to experience some great times and memories with this gal. They will always remain with me forever.

Even while Shari was fighting this battle with cancer, she was still one of the most giving people I know and only thought of others. I often messaged back and forth with her at night. She remembered every single thing from our childhood. I was teasing her a couple days before she passed about how she caused my first sin. Envy.. she had a bouncy horse that I loved and wanted so badly when we were kids. She loved all of her cousins and tried so hard to get all of us together. I'll miss you so much Cuz but I know that you made a speedy trip to heaven and you're not in pain anymore. Love you much.

I first met Shari Harpers Ferry middle school. We became fast friends, Shari was a person that once you were a friend she always had your back. She always gave encouragement and if you wanted someone to give a honest answer she was your girl. When Shari would give you any kind of feedback or criticism it always came from a place of love. She never gave up or gave in she always stuck by her beliefs and her friends. Shari we love you and will be missing you . Rest In Peace my beautiful friend though we are missing you we know you are singing and without pain .

I always told Shari to TRUST GOD and she did!!

GOD does not make mistakes. It was her time to leave and be with Him in her perfect Spiritual Body.

I am saddened because I will miss her and yet I am happy because I KNOW that she made it Home to be with the LORD and has been gathered unto her People!

So to Shari, my dear friend whom GOD has granted Eternal Life with our LORD CHRIST JESUS, I give this Scripture…

1 Thessalonians 5:16 (KJV)

16 Rejoice evermore.

Oh Rescue Me...

September 20, 2020
Shari and I met at  Covenant Church, O' so long ago...we attended a singles group, as well as, many other activities. She was very talented and had a beautiful voice. She new about any song you could think of, too. She liked to say we were partners in crime. We belong to a small Bible study group at Biddie Smoot's led by Mimi Vanderhaven which was the highlight of our lives at that time. She and I both were going through some heavy duty difficult stuff. She would call me before hand, she'd say " Are you ready for this! I'm coming to rescue you!" And rescue me she did...believe me, I have 14 grandchildren and there's a lot going on at my house. But we would sing from the time we left my driveway til' we got to group! Our friendship  was a gift.
Heaven has received one special woman...glad for her sad for us.

Ladies of Direction

September 20, 2020
Shari and I met in high school. We weren't as close then. God had a plan though. In 1998, we both had been through a divorce and were seeking healing. We met again at Covenant Baptist Church in Shepherdstown in the divorce care class. We also joined the Singles Group there. We grew close to many in that group. Shari and I were roommates for a while. We shared many adventures together including making our own renaisannce dresses and going to the festival in Crownsville, MD. People thought we worked there and asked us for directions to different events. So we called ourselves the "Ladies of Direction".
