Sharon Kesako Janda (Age 67), resident of Potomac, MD, suffered a Sudden Cardiac Arrest on Sunday, Dec. 28th and died on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014.

She was a well known fiber artist in the area, focusing on felted apparel, accessories and sculpture. Her Wild Plum Designs label provided "Contemporary Elegance for the Woman who Celebrates her Spirit." She co-founded and participated in numerous working groups from design to dye to felt making and was an inspiration to other crafters and artists.

Born in Lanai City, Hawaii, educated at Adams State University in Colorado, she worked at Johns Manville in Colorado and Martin Marietta in Colorado and DC before finding her artistic niche here in the DC area gaining friends in the arts from around the globe.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard, and son, Sean Singleton. Also by her sisters in Hawaii - Kiyomi Kunishige, Susan Tanaka and Mazie Kimura.
