For my mother, how deeply and dearly I miss you. To not be able to share my milestones with you is a tough pill to swallow. I love you and admire your strength through all of the hard times. You made me the woman I am today. Nursing school is the hardest thing (aside from saying goodbye to you) I've ever gone through in my young life. And I know you know that, because I've been more recently talking with you in my dreams. Keep talking to me and don't ever stop. Miss you everyday. Love always & forever, Kerstin.

Punta Cana-2008

June 26, 2014

One of the greatest memories I have with my family is the vacation to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic that my mom and Carlo took us on. Included was Aunt Barbara (my mom's wonderful aunt/our great aunt), Antoinette, Jamie, her husband Josh, Jessica, and Kerstin. I will never forget how cool it was to swim with dolphins in crystal clear water with my sisters and mom. I know it was on my mom's bucket list. We have such wonderful pictures of that time. And also that same vacation, being on the catamarand going around the islands on the glass bottom boat, my mom dancing in her bathing suit and saraong up there with all the younger adults. She was a fun time, and I miss having her around.
