Her Life

FIGHTER

January 23, 2012

Sharon was a fighter to the very end, as she was in life. Always fighting for the underdog. I was so damn proud of her and miss her so much. I now know what a broken heart feels like. 34 years is alot of time. Fighting, loving, living and never a dull moment, that's for sure.

She opened doors for many women doing the jobs she did. City of Kent Water Department. Todds Shipyard. Avtech. She worked twice as hard to prove herself and worked circles around the men. Despite her treatment she still treated everyone with respect and understanding. And in the end, won the same in return.

She leaves behind her loving daughter, Raine Hatch. Me (Kay Smither) her significant other and best friend. My 3 kids, Gina Barnett who has been her Gaurdian Angel for her last six months. My other daughter Toni-Dee Beilke. And my son Johnny Barnett. Also the entire Prater clan. Her brother Daryl. Sisters Doloris, Dorothy and Darlene(proceeded her in death). Cousins too many to list. She loved them all dearly. But her cousin Steve Prater always had a special place in her heart. He has her kindness and sharing and will always be appreciated for his generosity.

Now for awhile it'll just be Raine, Mike, Gina and her husband Nathan, Dee DeeĀ and myself. But we'll always be a family with Sharon in our hearts and thoughts.

Now she is with her family on the other side.We all love and miss her more than can be expresses.

Good bye to mine. I ache for the want of you with me. Until we met again. Yours, Kay
