A Columbus native and the daughter of the late Curtis and Nellie Baker Thomas, Sharon attended Jordan Vocational High School. She was employed at Southern Management Company and was a member of Greater Beallwood Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Sherita Mabry(Arnett) and Shondra N. Mabry(Kalvin); one son, Desimond Mabry(Cynthia); seven grandchildren, Keneisha, Channaysha, Alisha, Nyeisha, Desimond, Jr., Zion and Kalynn; six great grandchildren, Destiny, Reginald, Keion'dre, Kailee, Emerie and Autumn; two brothers, Curtis Thomas, Jr., and Willie Thomas; one sister, Shernita Thomas; five aunts, two uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
