This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Sharon Cazier . We will remember her forever.

. I just want to thank everyone for the prayers, love, support and coming together to celebrate and honor my mom Sharon Lynn Cazier.  When you rise in the morning give thanks for the light, for your life, for your strength. Give thanks for your food and for the JOY of LIVING. If you see no reason to give thanks, then that only fault of your own. Serenity Prayer. God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.

My mom was born August 25 1962 & was called home unexpectedly December 20 2018 @ 4:19 P.M. @ Walnut Creek Kaiser. Sharon Lynn Cazier was a Survivor, a warrior, loving mother, daughter, Aunt, Niece, Sister & Friend. My mom is survived by her Daughter Jennifer Garcia,Sister Kathleen Foster, Brothers James Ewing & William Emig. My Mom was born in Garden Grove, Ca. She lived in Mesa, Arizona,Riverside CA, Dallas TX, Antioch CA, Concord CA. & most recently in Martinez CA. She was patient, kind, a giver, a lover and a peace maker. She was a proud Panther graduate of Antioch High School Class of 81’. Married my Dad Kevin Cazier May 21 1983. Gave birth to me in 84 and we moved to Lst Antioch CA when I was 2 ½ . My Dad and Mom divorced when I was younger and my mom, dad & step mom raised me to the woman I am today. My mom always taught me to LOVE & Honor my dad and Im so grateful for that. My mom and Dad literally fought for my life and I wouldn’t be living if I didn’t have their love and if they didn’t get the best doctors and specialists and surgeons to help me I just simply wouldn’t be here. So im forever grateful. My mom gave birth to my sister Oct 22 1986 and she became our angel shortly after. Since the loss of my sister my mom has dealt with the grieve and loss with so much courage strength and always kept positive. We always talked about my sister we cried we smiled but most importantly kept her name ALIVE… She was a warrior to be able to go thru something like this and continue life and raise me and show me what love is and what life is. She never gave up. Even when she felt defeated she never gave up.My Mom taught me how to play backgammon and pool. I remember our talks, her advice and the positive spirit she had . She exemplified what hope and strength is. She was a warrior. She never settled and always stood up for what she believed in. She loved women's softball, women's basketball, pool, bowling, dog sitting and coffee =) She loved the color purple and Pepsi. I remember her and I skipping out of Sutter Elementary when I made honor roll and her yelling “ Hot Digity Dog” I* knew I made her proud. That all I ever wanted to do was make my elders proud and that moment I knew I did just that. I remember in middle school she picked me up from school and told me the diagnosis and news of ovarian cancer and she told me not to worry bc the doctors were going to help her and she was going to be okay She cried I cried I was scared and I knew she was too but she put that brave face on and faced it and beat it . what a miracle that was.She always came out on top. She believed if there is a will there is way and she always told me I could do anything my heart desires .She took my to see Nysnc the boy band that she didn’t care for and I just begged her and we went to the very front of the stage, she was there at my HS graduation and our wedding. She supported us and always gave great advice for us our future and our marriage. She was always always honest even if it hurt she would tell u like she sees it no candy coating and no bs. You knew you could always count on mom for real unconditional love and support. Didn’t matter who you were u could call mom. She was an incredible worker and her work ethic was 100. She had an incredible 11 years from 1990 to 2001 with Knight Ridder Inc ( Contra Costa times) as a Journeyman printer at the Concord CA plant. She started her career with the Government in 2001 at the United States Department Of Treasury in Emeryville CA . Sharon continued her career with the S.F. Government Accountability Office in 2008 . She continued her career with the G.A.O. in Dallas Texas. She was a vibrant firecracker who literally lit up any room she entered. It was evident she was so loved at each position she had. When I would visit her in the Concord Print Plant Contra Costa Times she ran that whole place. Running from side to side, them paiging her to trouble shoot the machines and whatever it was she did. She wasn’t afraid to get dirty or do a guys type job.Mom taught me to always do right. To never settle to never give up and to always put yourself first. As an adult she became my BFF,my adviser and confidant.. I could call or text her anytime and sometimes I would call her or text her long essays and call back to back and she never got annoyed and always happy to talk and be there for me thru the good or bad didn’t matter. She didn’t judge she listened and had unconditional love. One of her greatest quality was that she encouraged me to make the best of everything and face problems head on. To always believe. She was a proud woman who believed that there was no obstacle that couldn’t be overcome. Mom loved Peet's coffee and Starbucks. If there wasn’t a Peet's she would settle for Starbucks. And boy she knew her drinks and exactly how she wanted it. We would go to coffee together in Martinez and Antioch and they knew her by name knew her drink and was always so happy to see her. She lit up that place, She was so passionate in anything she did. She was very competitive when it came to the game of pool but she was damn good. She was a woman of god a woman of strength . My mom put her health ahead of work andretired early from her Government position in 2015.During her retirement she enjoyed going to coffee shops, playing pool, going to church, having girl chats, dog sitting and spending time with her own dogs.

She lived for her two fur-babies Maggie and Daisy who miss her dearly. She was an avid animal lover and advocate. She loved cats, dogs horses and birds. She loved butterflys and koala bears and teddy bears. In fact obsessed with teddy bears lol. She believed in helping all animals and being their voice. She lived a life full of happiness, smiles, looking to the positive in all things and finding the good in all. Mom loved OBAMA, she loved Texas and she loved her family and friends more than anything. She always chose happiness , she loved to be on the water and go fishing and camping. She loved loved steak whether it was tri tip, bal tip or a new York cut she loved it. She loved all types of music and she loved being there for others. She was the best friend anyone could have really. She was always in your corner. Even with challenges thru her life and the mountains she climbed she managed to always have a smile, and crack a joke about it and she believed and knew she could do anything and get thru anything, She combated negativity with gratitude. She overcame addiction and helped countless people on their own journeys. I remember going to NA with my mom sometimes multiple times a day. I got to know those rooms and the people. One thing was evident people were drawn to mom, she had independence and strength and her own story toto help another. That’s exactly what she did.She sponsored many people during their addiction and helped them get clean and stay clean. Her phone was on 24 7 for anyone that needed a friend to talk to. We always said the Serenity prayer daily. Years later my mom and I would always say this randomly and it really stuck with me. I never knew what kind of an impact those times would have had on me today. My mom had a heart of gold, a wise mind and a sense of humor.Another funny memory is when Justin and I left our farm for vacation mom was watching the farm . We didn’t have cable at the time and when we left mom was playing the Judds VHS nd when we came back it was playing. She just watched it over and over lol that’s how much she loved the Judds. We listened to that tape In many cars countless times. We would sing at the top of our lungs and just had a ball. Just days prior to her passing she was up at our farm helping us and actually helped me deliver a ton of baby goats. It was crazy and hectic but she held her self together and helped me get thru it. We kissed each other and hugged a million times and said see u soon love u and we talked after that on text once she got home and I just never thought that would be the last time I saw my best friend and heard my moms voice or felt her touch. One thing is for sure Love lives on . We will make sure our kids know their Grandma Sharon and hear all the stories and wisdom that was passed to me. Mom Thank you for everything you have given us and thank you for your passion of life and love for people. Thank you for loving me and all of us. Because of you I am who I am and all the lives you have touched in a positive way are here before me and across this nation grieving and know that we ALL love you deeply. The light she brought to our lives and hearts is beyond this world. One of a kind. It is a great testament to her nature that shehas formed so many LIFE LONG friendships over years. Know that her friends were her family to her and her heart. So many here today and so many that couldn’t be here but they are here in spirit with us..She has always been my support and comfort when times are tough. I don’t know how I will cope without her and it leaves a massive hole in my life. But I will draw strength from the things she taught me and live by the words she always quoted “ Accept the things you cannot change and change the things you can” “ To never give up and to always believe and that I can do anything my heart desires” It is an honor to stand before you and share my precious memories of my mother Her positive spirit will live on through us all. Sharon will be missed by all. Her name and positive spirit will continue to live on thru us all. Ill end with this Death is not extinguishing the light, It is putting out the lamp BC the dawn has come. Life has to end but LOVE DOESN’T. Our love for my mom Sharon Lynn Cazier will never end. The idea is not to live forever but to create something that will. With that being said we have started a non profit foundation Called The Sharon Cazier Foundation and our focus will be continuing moms legacy and be the voice to the voiceless and help the animals in need. Ending with Prayer God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference. Until we meet again see you soon love you mom.

We respectfully request in lieu of flowers a donation in Sharon’s memory be made to your local animal shelter to help an animal in need and to help with adoption fees and/or care.

Thank You

Sharon Cazier's Family.
