Papa Jaldi Aa Jaana... Saat Samundar Paar Se... Gidiyon Ke Bazaar Se...
This song keeps playing in my head. You used to sing this song along with numerous other songs and stories you used to tell me when I was little. I have so many fond memories of the time spent with you.
We were not ready to loose you Papa. It was not your time to go but you left us with innumerable and most precious gifts. Gifts that keep on giving. All that we are today is because of you and Mom's hard work. I know family was the most important thing to you. Hope wherever you are, you are proud of what you and Mom have created. A lot of you and Mom lives in us and your grandkids. You were always there for each one of us when we needed you, no matter how hard it was for you. Not only us but even our kids have the treasure of great times they have spent with you. Playing with them, reading to them, telling stories and singing songs to them, going on walks with them, always tagging along for school pickups, grooming them, helping them in homeworks, teaching them, cheering them in their milestones and achievements, the list is endless of what you have done for them and us.
Often you used to talk about your Dad and the memories of your last time together. I didn't understand the gravity of what you felt until now. You lost your Dad at a young age and yet you achieved such greatness. You were indeed a self made man and always been an inspiration to me. You are the best; selfless, self sufficient and a superman to me.
None of us know how to go on without you Papa and there will always be a void but I know your teachings and your voice will always guide us.
I wish I could hold your hand longer... I wish I had more time to be there with you when you needed me... but I will love you and will miss you always... darling.. darling Papa.
You are my rock. Always so strong! Till the end you have been an inspiration to me. Looking after us till you could. Making it easy for us in every way possible. Never once did you show defeat. I am super proud of you Papa. You fought well. It's time to rest now.
