It’s again the season for those cucumbers that you loved so much.  We never prepare or eat them without thinking of you Shawn.  That’s only one of many things that remind us of you.   Every friend of yours has special memories to be shared and there are so many friends and so many, many memories.  Chris talks of all the good times with his oldest friend.  Cerny only wished that he “had a dozen of you”.  Whenever Father O says, “this Mass is being said for Shawn Mcfarlane,” my minds eye sees you step out on that altar and take your place.  Handsome, blonde kid always standing ramrod straight and sober as a judge.  I think that you served Mass from the time you made your First Communion until you had outgrown most of the priests and, on the altar, you were always, "about your business”. It’s been tough for all of us here but I’m sure Jesus needed you again.  We hope , Shawn, that you remember us with a smile, as we remember you. Our love from the Kjeldgaards
