My mum was a strong, principled woman, who loved her family fiercely. She was a hard worker but also loved a good party. She was a royalist and blasted out Land of Hope and Glory at any given opportunity. She had the most beautiful, icy blue eyes, the "Martin" eyes, she would say, after her dad. She had a massive smile and a dirty laugh and everyone she met fell a little in love with her.
