I have fond memories of Kathleen travelling with us to Africa. At 92, she was among the oldest people to ever join one of our trips. Every day, she was excited to set out on the bumpy roads, to see new places, to help new people, and to see the difference her son Peter and his wife Kathy are making in the world, improving the lives of thousands. She was especially impressed with the medical clinic that Peter and Kathy funded. I will never forget her energy and kindness and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to travel with her. She was an inspiring presence and possessed a wonderful character and she will be dearly missed.

This weekend we paid to tribute to one of the most amazing spirits to ever grace this beautiful earth - our dear friend and mentor Kathleen (Shelley) Lacey. Shelley was truly a pioneer of positivity and one of my greatest influences. Through Shelley I cultivated a deep love of nature - acting as her gardener throughout my junior years. Shelley gave me my first job in journalism at The Signpost newspaper which she founded in the 1960s. Shelley's tales of adventure inspired my own love of travel - to our shared British roots and beyond. Our conversations and social gatherings would lead to discussion of science, spirituality, the paranormal, pyramid power, politics, history, community, the arts and music - Shelley loved music and we had many occasions to share the joy of song. During Shelley's celebration of life it was said time and again of the power of one person to bring hope and affirmative change to create a better world. Shelley was an embodiment of that power. Thank you Shelley for your brilliant bright light - it shines forever in our lives - woven into the great tapestry of the universe. Much Love!
