Your first year was pretty normal. You sat up alone at about 6 months and learned to crawl a month or 2 later. When you were about a month old I got the scare of my life. Penny came into the kitchen crying and trying to tell me something about the baby. She was so upset I couldn't understand a word she was saying. I ran into the bedroom to check on you and there you were laying on the floor. My heart was pounding so hard I thought the ultimate worse thing had happened. I picked you up ready to run to the nieghbors for help, but to my surprise you were just peacefully sleeping. Still wrapped tightly in your blankets. It took me a few minutes to figure out what must have happened. Penny who was only about seven at the time had tried to take you out of the crib and couldn't carry you so she laid you on the floor. She was afraid she'd get in trouble so she started crying and came to get me. I felt so sorry for her that after just a light scolding I hugged you both close to me ever so grateful that you were okay. 

 On September 29th 1969 a beautiful baby girl was born into this world. I don't think she  ever realized what a blessing she was. She had 3 brothers and 1 older sister. I  had prayed that this baby would be a girl. Back in those days they didn't have ultra sound so you couldn't tell the sex of the baby. When she was born and the Dr. told me I had a little girl I started to cry and then I laughed, and then I cried again. I'm sure the nurses thought they had a nut case on their hands. This was to be my last child and I wanted it to be a girl more than anything and when she was born a girl it was just a wonderful wish come true. (little did I know that years later I would be blessed with 2 more girls) It was like a kid at Christmas time opening that most wanted present. She weighed 6 lbs 7 3/4 oz and was 19 3/4 inches long. Not a big baby, just a little bundle of joy. The most beautiful baby in the world . Her name was Sheri Lynne Anderson. When she was about 2 and a half some how she obtained the name Sheri Lynne Anderson Baker Baby, a pretty long nickname for such a tiny girl.
