Sherman E. Palmore

Sherman Palmore, 61, of San Diego, CA died on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 just outside of Dateland, AZ (approximately 65 miles from Yuma, AZ) due to injuries sustained from an automobile accident.

Sherman was born October 22, 1950 in Kansas city, KS.  He was the oldest son of Lucius and Emma Palmore.

Sherman married Marilyn G. Hale on August 21, 1993 in Ontario California.

Sherman graduated from Redlands High School in 1968 and graduated from the University of Relands in 1972.  While attending the University of Redlands, he became a proud member fo the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity.  In 1975 he served as their Western Regional Director.  He was a charter member of the Delta Lambda Chapter at the university of Redlands and was a member of the general board.

At the time of his death, he worked at the California Department of Motor Vehicles as a Driving Test Examiner.

Sherman enjoyed life, spending lots of time camping in his RV, fishing, cruising, visiting casinos, playing cards/dominoes and being with family and friends.

Sherman is survived by his wife Marilyn Palmore of San Diego; daughter Amanda Palmore-Smith; stepson Cecil Hale; his mother Emma Palmore of Mentone, CA. Three brothers, Ronald (Barvetta) Palmore of Peoria, AZ; John Palmore of Redlands, CA, and Michael (Geneva) Palmore of San Marcos, CA; two sisters, LaJuanda Umanzor of Mentone, CA and Etta Palmore of Colton, CA; four grandchildren, aunts, nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lucius Palmore and one sister, Brenda Bianchi.

Sherman was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a true and dear friend to many.
