As a young boy I remember listening to Bishop Johnson sermons on the radio, with my grandparents.  My grandparents belong to a local Hispanic Apostolic church. I was raised Roman Catholic, but I remember how much my grandparents looked up to Bishop Johnson and his message. My grandparents were poor but they saved money to go see him in Philadelphia and returned with great joy to see him and listen to his message, in person. Knowing how righteous my grandparents were, I admired them for that and learned more of life from them than anyone else in the world. God bless Bishop Johnson soul

My Grandmother (RIP)

My grandmother used to take me to Bishop Johnson’s Church on the trolley from Media, Pa. to Philadelphia, Pa every Sunday.  I am seventy-four now. I was very young when she used to take me to church with her about six or seven years old.  I remember as if was yesterday,  she had a little bonnet on my head.  To GOD be the Glory
My grandmother’s name was Elizabeth Townsend-Carter

One of my favorite songs I like to hear Bishop sing is tell me where are you building your house are you building upon a rock or the sand God bless you bishop for all that you did in your day that made it good still in our day which are theevil and last days
