A beloved son, brother and uncle, Shibu Mathew Abraham was born in Our Lady of Mercy Hospital in the Bronx, NY on August 25th 1987 to Mr. PM Abraham & Rosamma Abraham. He lived in New York during the past 21 years 7 months and 6 days of his precious life. He was the youngest of three children. Currently he was a medical student at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He successfully completed a bachelors degree in life sciences from the New York Institute of Technology and was expected to graduate May 17th 2009. As an active member of St. Andrews Marthoma Church, he served faithfully in various capacities; from the secretary of the youth fellowship, to VBS teacher and lay minister for services. As a beloved son and brother, he was an outstanding individual who glorified God and honored his family.
Shibu will be greatly missed by his parents, his two sisters; Sheeba & Shiby, their spouses Manoj & Trigy, his nephews Sahil & Baby Shibu, his uncles, aunts, cousins & friends. He was extremely blessed and a blessing to those around him. With his contagious smile, he was well known for his humorous personality and vibrant spirit. With a bright future ahead of him, he was destined for success. Shibu was loved by all his family and friends because he exhibited a genuine love for them. Shibu was an inspiration to everyone that knew him. His Interest include spending time with his family and friends, making others laugh, playing video games and basketball.
He was always there for anyone in their time of need and you could depend on him for anything. He gave a helping hand to anyone he met without any hesitation. Shibu's greatest quality was his caring and selfless character. He was the life and joy of his family and can never be forgotten.
Shibu was a firm believer in our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ and has left us with his legacy and witness. We mourn his passing but rejoice knowing that he his walking with his Savior.
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27).
