Memories I treasure

February 6, 2012

There is just too many stories i could tell,of this amazing woman, but i will just talk of some of them.As my mother(Josephine)and Shirley were  personal friends, they shared a lot together,as well as some of her children and myself are personal friends.Spending lots of time in her home, for sleepovers,or just for the day.Her children,as well as some of my sibling would spend hours of play time together. We would play tag in the family barn,hide-n-go seek, cowboys and indians, all through the many woods around there home. When it came to playing tag in the barn,Danny would like just run across the beams, where as for me i would be teriffied.I would just like freeze,on the beams. And the coasting in the winter would be the best of all,we would coast for hours, where you would here her,or my mother calling their children to come inside.Spending time in her home was always a pleasure, where she would always be baking or cooking something, and the smell of her homemade bread,or buns would fill the home. She loved to sing,as she would bake,or just be full of laughter,i don't think i ever saw her without her pleasant smile.I recall, that when she would watch "Little House On The Prairates"she would cry at every episode, for it was a sad show.We were two families in the community that spended a lot of time together as children,in playtime.(Maryellen)A.K.A Pic would ask if i could spend the night, she would always say"She needs to ask her mother".She was always so pleasant in and outside of her home. She and my mother would talk by phone for hours, sometimes on end, where you would hear her laughter through the phone,if you sat close enough. She truly was like a second mom, while in her home.I was always treated like one of her children, while in her home.May the friendship that her children and i have last,as my mother's and her did.
