Nobody knew

My mother opened Cherry Valley Delight and managed/cook for all the food sold. She was renowned for her meaty homemade chili. The hidden secret that she never told anyone was that she used venison instead of ground meat. She told us that ground meat was too expensive to use. I am not talking about company processed venison, I am talking about calling one of my 72 first cousins telling them to go shoot me some chili meat. People traveled from miles around to eat her “Homemade Chilli”.
