A Celebration of Life service will be held for Mrs. Dean on Saturday, January 9, 2021, 11:00 a.m., The Star Church, 7400 London Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35206.  

REFLECTION OF LIFE

Mrs.Shirley Jean Dean was born January 18th, 1953 in Potts Camp, Mississippi. She was born to Jim Henry Beard and Sarah Beard.She was the tenth child of twelve children. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Willie Jean Tables (sis), five brothers, Ben Beard, Arthur Love, Earnest Beard, Al Beard, and Clarence Beard.

Mrs. Shirley Dean attended schools in the Potts Camp, Mississippi system all the way through high school. She was a certified Social worker. She was employed with Ball healthcare Services, where she retired in 2009.

Mrs. Shirley Dean moved to Chicago, Illinois in 1974. In 1974 her whole life changed when she met the love of her life, Mr. Randall Dean. They married in 1975. The two blessed union three children.They moved to Birmingham, Alabama in 1985

Mrs. Shirley Dean accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and Join New Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church in 1985.

Mrs Shirley Dean always delighted family and friends with warm fellowship and delicious meals. Mrs. Shirley Dean made all the difference in the lives of her family and friends. She was self-reliant, strong and loving.

Mrs Shirley dean left her foot print on anyone she encountered. She showed the importance of personal sacrifice, wisdom, and character. She developed an incredible legacy that will live on.

THE FAMILY

Cherishing her loving and precious memories is her dedicated and loving husband Randall Dean of 45 years; her loving children, Lamonte Dean(Eva Dean), Krystal Dean Hall(Jeremy Hall Sr), Sarah Ragland (Antonio Ragland), eight grandchildren; Jaya Miller, Diamond Bell, Latricia Little-Jones(Ledarious Jones, Lamonica Deam, J’mya Ragland, Antonio Ragland Jr, Krystopher Hall, Jeremy Hall Jr. Six great grandchildren Eric Billups Jr, Jayce Moore, Brian Jones, Robert Jones, Amaria Jones, Jameria Hall; two sisters, Linda Kay Sanders, Lille B Hanna; 3 brothers, Emmit Hickson, James Henry Beard, Curtis Beard, a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
