Something I learned very quickly about aunt Shirley when I was growing up was how strong she was. She really had the strength of ten people put in one...I seen it with my own two eyes!!! When life gave her lemons, she made lemonade baby!!! With that being said, I couldnt believe my eyes when I finally seen something that broke aunt Shirley down!!! I didnt know rather to laugh or to cry!!! I think I silently did both!!! well aunt Shirley made up this card game called in-between. you had to bet money that your card would fall inbetween the cards that were down on the table! This game was serious!!! This one particular day aunt Shirley was having a good ol' time playing cards with her liter of E & J!!!! She got too happy and ended up losing her rent money ( hahaha). Aunt Shirl cried and cried and begged for her money back!!!....Wow, the one thing that broke her down was a game that she made up..too funny!!!! I think she ended up borrowing it back tho!!!   

 I remember when I was pregnant with my son(peep) i was in labor and went to tne hospital and shirley told her niece, Trina and her daughter nette if they go outside and look up in the sky they will see the stork caring peep. them girls jumped up and ran outside looking up in the sky for a long time, Shirley said, and they telling shirley, we dont see him!!!! 

I remember when i used 2 live with shirley, i was boiling some hot water on the stove in a big pot,(the pot was big enough 2 feed the block) but anyway the water came to a boil and i pick the pot up off the stove and just as i was walking to the other side of the kitchen with the pot it slip out my hand i fell in the hot water and it seem like every time i tried to get up i kept falling back in the water. shirley just bust out laughing and she couldn't stop laughing she said girl if don't look like a fish out of water flopping around on that floor (Lol)

And to shirley Son, keep your head up!!!!!     you took really good care of your mother, from the begining to the end. There shouln't be know doubts or regrets on what if, in your mind. my heart goes out to you. GOD WILL SAY TO YOU, WELL DONE MY SON!!!!!!  LOVE, Your,Aunt Diane S.
