The daughter of the late Jimmie and Erma Hollis Jones, Mrs. Baskin was born in Columbus, GA and was a member of Holsey Chapel CME Church. She was currently worshiping with Wynnton Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by five siblings, Jimmie, Jr., Henry, Wilbur "Cigar", Robert and Edna Jones.
Survivors include: her husband of 39 years, Mr. Bennie Gene Baskin; two sons, Derrick Jones and Amoiad Baskin (Juanita); one daughter, Tamala Jones Harris (Willie); eight grandchildren, Derrick D. and Kennedy D. Jones, DaOneshia, Jakhya and Jaliyah Baskin, Rashone Howard, Sonya and Tanya Harris; two great grandchildren, Kenderious and Keyshawn Howard; a sister, LaVerne Jackson; one brother, Larry Jones; beloved in-laws, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
