Shirley Jean Cash, 80, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at her home, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers disease. She is the daughter of Bessie W. Cash and the late Sherman S. Cash. She was of the Baptist faith and worked on the family farm most of her life.
Surviving, other than her mother, are brothers Marion Russell Cash and Melvin Harold Cash (Linda) of Oxford, two nephews, Warren Cash and Joey Cash, two great-nephews, Sammy Cash and Kaleb Cash all of Oxford. She was preceded in death by one great nephew, Christopher Cash.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Meadowview Memorial Park by Reverend Eddie Mauldin. The family will be receiving visitors at the home of Melvin and Linda Cash, 8201 Grassy Creek Rd., Oxford, NC 27565.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
