This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Shirley Ford, 65, born on December 31, 1945 and passed away on September 9, 2011. We will remember her forever and she will be forever in our hearts!
Shirley was known as a powerful "Prayer Warrior."
Shirley will be remembered mostly for her love of people and her faith in God. She also loved canning, growing flowers, her favorite flower were roses and she loved gardening. She loved being outdoors connecting with nature. She loved to sit out on her porch and watch the birds and butterflies, just listening to the sounds of God's beauty. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply and greatly missed!
Some of Shirley's phrases/sayings she loved to quote were:
"Peace Be Still"
"Don't Sweat the Small Stuff"
"You're a Mess"
"Stop Your Stinkin' Thinkin'
"It's All in Good Clean Fun"
"Yepperz"
"Your Not Right?!"
In Loving Memory.....
God Saw You Getting Tired
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be
So he put his arms around you and whispered ‘Come With Me.’
With tearful eyes we watched you, slowly fade away,
Although we loved you dearly, we would not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.

Just One More Day
wishes did come true,
I'd spend every glorious moment
side by side with you.
Recalling all the years we shared
and memories we made,
how grateful I would be
to have just one more day.
Where the tears I've shed are
not in vain and only fall in bliss.
So many things I'd let you know
about the days you've missed.
I wouldn't have to make pretend
you never went away.
How grateful I would be to
have just one more day.
When that day came to a close
and the sun began to set,
a million times I'd let you know
I never will forget
the heart of gold you left behind
when you entered Heaven's gate.
How grateful I would be to
have just one more day.
Merry Christmas
Feeling Blessed
I found this poem and it made me think of Brenda and her Mom! I new they both loved to sing and loved Butterflies. I was excited to post it on Shirleys Memorial! Brenda liked it so much she put it on a beautiful Picture with Butterflies. It made me feel so good to contribute to Shirleys Memorial!!
I'm so Blessed to know You Brenda! I never met your mom but I am sure you are just like her from what I have seen!!
