Her Life

The highlights of Shirley's life

March 3, 2016

Shirley Mae Luckey was the proud and supportive mother to one daughter, Sherri. She was an even prouder grandmother to 2 grandaughters, Alicia & Ashley, and 2 grandsons, Bryan & Nickolas. She was able to enjoy the birth of her 1st great-grandson, Skyler in Aug  2006 who she liked sharing her pudding with on his visits to The Woods @ Willow Creek where she lived from Jan 2005 to Feb 2011. She was still with us at the birth of her 2nd great-grandson, David in Aug 2011. Sadly she passed Nov 19th 2011 and wasnt able to see her 3rd great-grandson Bently who was born in May 2012. She also wasnt able to meet her great-grandsons Eoseph or Anthony who our family was blessed with the addition of. Her daughter & four grandchildren were her entire life and lived with them from 1994 when Norman passed away Aug 12th. She lived with her family until Dec 2005 when her Alzheimers symptoms became uncontrollable without 24hr medical attention.

Shirley was well known for her dry clean press expertise, she worked as a dry clean presser for 34yrs with regular clients such as Oregon's Governors from the 1970's until her retirement in 1994 to take care of the love of her life, Norman whom she was married to for 32yrs.

When she passed she was living at Tierra Rose Memory Care. She was laid to rest on November 24th 2011 with her beloved husband Norman at the Willamette National Cemetery.

Her love of her family, her infectious smile, her hearty laugh, her funny stories, her loving touch and comforting words of her open massive love she showered her daughter and grandkids with are always going to be sadly missed but were so enormous and wonderful they could never be forgotten.
