Dearest Shirley, I'm sitting here tonight thinking of you. It's 11:45 at night, almost another birthday for you. I'll bet it's wonderful having a birthday in Heaven, with our Lord and Savior and our Mom and Dad there with you. I just can't imagine how precious that must be. We love and miss you so much, but you know that. I especially miss those phone calls from you. It's been a crazy day here and you've been on my mind a lot. Jim is in the hospital with what appears to be a mini-stroke; Peggy's mother-in-law is there also with a massive heart attack. And it occurred to me that I never got to come see you in the hospital, and I'm very sorry for that. But I was with you on your last weekend on this earth, and I came back after you left this earth. And I am happy that you are at home with God now and out of pain, but oh, I miss you so much. Just know that you are so loved, now and always. We will never forget or stop missing you.
