This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Shobha Saxena, 71 years old, born on December 19, 1949, who passed away due to complications from Covid on April 22, 2021. We will remember her forever.  Her smile lit up the room.  She lived for her family. She leaves a big hole that will never be filled.  Her memory lives on and her kindness, humor, strength, and beauty remain forever etched in our hearts.

Please share your condolences for the family, who is spread out in the U.S. and in India, below.  Thank you.

The first thing I observed when I met Vik's mother Shobha was her serene, loving presence. She lived that serenity and love when she came from India to the U.S. to joyfully care for each of her grandchildren when they were born, helping the whole family, and staying as long as she could be of help. I believe her remarkable spirit will remain always with all of us who were privileged to know her. Her memory is a blessing.

Vik, Hallie, Maya, Milan and the rest of the Saxena family,

We are so sorry for your incredible loss and the heartbreaking circumstances. I’m so sorry I never got to meet Vik’s mom but I remember Hallie telling me of when she came to visit when the kids were little to help and the delicious meals she would make for you all. We are sending all of our love and our deepest sympathies.

We are so sorry to not have met mummi Saxena in person. But we feel like we knew her, through my sister Hallie and her husband (Shobha's oldest son) Vik. What an extraordinary grandma, spending months with each of her sons families. She was very much treasured and loved; and her living legacy will be carried on in her sons, their partners, their children and families. May she rest in peace. May her family come to a place of peace, with consolation through this beautiful love which will shine bright through the rest of our lives.

Our condolences to the whole Saxena family. We are thinking of you all. Although we never had the privilege of meeting Shobha, it is clear that she was a wonderful person from the amazing family that she raised. And what a sweet, happy picture of her! Vik, you have her smile! She will be missed, but may her memory always be a blessing.

Our heartfelt condolences. My few memories of her are that of a kind and gentle lady who was full of love. She was prematurely taken away from us but God does that to people who are most near and dear to him. Om Shanti!

There was never a better mother than our beloved Mummiji. Her family was her life. She was taken from us too early, and our hearts have a huge hole that cannot ever be filled. She was happiest when she was with her grandchildren. She lived her life with joy, sacrifice, dedication, and kindness. We will miss her forever and will make sure that her memory lives on.
