Coconut Candy & Smokes!

November 5, 2020
Aunty,

Its been 4 years already? I really wish you were here to hear this fun memory. Kunle, Koya and I used to take over your kitchen in Agbowo from time to time. One of those occasions we made coconut candy and burned the pots quite badly. I remember us trying to scrub the pan before your return - we were still in staff school UI then. The memory I would never forget involves the tobacco. We tried to make cigarettes from the dried tobacco leaves from the garden. On this occasion I took a bic biro, removed to ink cartridge and broke it into the length of a cigarette. I stuffed in dry leaves one end and cotton wool the other and set fire to the other end. Of course it was burning tobacco and fumes from melting plastic I inhaled - my chest, eyes, throat burned so badly and I was probably asphyxiating as well! When I could finally breathe I never touched a cigarette in my life to this day!! I guess it is fun to remember those times and fun to remember you in that setting. May the good Lord make it possible for us all to meet again in eternity.

Best regards,
Soji APAMPA

Continue to rest in the Lord Auntie. Deeply missed.

We remember our Auntie today as always. Her memory lingers on

May her gentle soul continue to rest in peace.

As the sun set.....................

December 5, 2016

..........We watched dolphins playfully jump in and out of the water...…...gymnastic displays with big splashes and continuously enlarging ripples…….....in the meadow nearby, butterflies fluttered between colourful and fragrant flowers…..effortless, soft, gentle and beautiful……a squadron of squawking cockatoos flew overhead....gradually fading silhouettes on the horizon....a distant kookaburra's laugh punctuated the air........and as shadows grew longer and the golden Australian sun set, so did yours……ever so beautifully…........…to rise again in His eternally beautiful garden."
