A TRIBUTE TO MY INCOMPARABLE DADDY, DADDY LIKE NO OTHER
Daddy your demise has created a big vaccum in our heart. I called my mother 21st November, 2018 to know how you are but the reverse was the case. She said you are no more. I cried but when I remember the verse in the bible that said that there is a season/time for everything; and the advise you usually give to us to always follow the way of the Lord, I became consoled.
My daddy is the most humble and kind person I have ever met. You are such a gentleman and a peaceful man. You fought the battle of faith till the end and we know that the good Lord will crown you with the crown of glory.
Indeed, mummy and all of us your children will miss you so dearly.
Rest on the bossom of the Lord till we meet to part no more.
Adieu my lovely daddy
Adieu Papa Ukochukwu

A WARRIOR AGAINST INJUSTICE/ OPPRESSION HAS GONE TO BE WITH THY LORD
When I remember your life stories you told me I know that indeed the hand of the Lord was mighty upon your life. You were alive till this year November 21st was possible because of God’s mercies and faithfulness. As a faithful Christian, you acknowledged it in your autobiography. From your life, I believed earnestly that God Almighty cannot fail those who trust in him whole heartedly. You were a man full of faith in God and never believe in anything outside God. You made it clear to us that you hate idolatry and idolatrous practices because of your faith in the only true God Almighty. You are a lover of justice and a hater of oppression; no wonder you derived passion and joy in liberating those who are oppressed and intimidated.
The man being laid to rest today - Chief Simon Egwuatu populary know as “Omerulora” is a household name in Ayamelum clan. The journey of life has taken you to various parts of the country. I can recall how you told me your successes and failures in life. Your days at C.M.S bookshop at Markurdi and the beautiful building you erected that was destroyed during the Nigeria/Biafran War. How God delivered you during the war was a miracle.
Papa Uko Chinedu, you a man of valour who taught us the ways of the Lord. Without you teaching us early in life that outside God nothing is meaningful we would not have been where we are today. What of Education? You insisted and made it clear to us that education is the foundational key to success in life. Though it was not easy for us because the prolonged sickness you had for five years took away everything you had yet you made it clearer to us that education is worth pursuing.
You are a selfless man to the core. You fought for the development of Ayamelum and liberated Anaku from various ills. I can recalled your lamentation on how those whom you fought with against oppression and injustices went back because of money and sold the heritage God gave to us. It is a shameful thing, however I learnt a lot from it. This is because you taught us not to live a life of betrayal on anyone and intimated us never to sell justice because of money or personal gain. Your watch word has always been “truth and justice must be upheld” at all times no matter who is involved.
I know you love me so much and your departure was not a surprise because you prepared for it. You told me that when you will go, you will know. It happened the way you said it. This is why when I took you to Iyi-Enu Mission hospital on first week of November, you refused to see your doctor for no reason and asked me to go home. I invited the Hospital Secretary – Rev Tochukwu Okwuchukwu who begged you and yet you refused. The nurses were invited, they begged you too, yet you said no. Though it wasn’t easy for me to travel home for the medical check- up but on that day I understood that you have made up your mind to go home to see your Maker.
I am proud of you. Most of the blessings and prayers who made for me have manifested and I know that few others will soon come to pass. You are my hero and a blessing to me. Papa, as I fondly call u, rest in peace till we meet to part no more.

A TRIBUTE TO A FATHER WITH A HEART OF LION
Papa your death has taught me so much in a very short time. I have now realized that I am dreaming that you have gone forever.
It all started on 5th of November when you were taken to the hospital for normal check-up but you refused to take treatment; neither did we know that your time is up. Since then, your health began to deteriorate, yet you refused to go for medical check at Iyi-Enu Mission Hospital. On the 15th of November, you were taken to the hospital and treatment was given to you. We believed that you will become better but it was not so. On 21st of November, you answered the call to be with your Maker and Redeemer, Jesus Christ.
Your death came as a rude shock to me, though I knew you have aged and no longer stronger in health. On digesting the news of your departure, I realized that I have lost a rare treasure in my life. you taught us how to read the bible and how to pray.

Papa who will now tell us the latest news in the world because every day after reading your bible, you listen to news.
Papa, you are the one that taught us the way of the Lord, you have fought a good a fight, you have kept the faith, all that will come to you now is the crown of glory which our Lord Jesus will give you on that day.
Good night PAPA, JEE NKE OMA, NNA UKOCHUKWU.

TRIBUTE TO MY SUPER DADDY
I knew that someday this moment would come but probably I don’t know that it will be that soon. I was with you few days ago when we came to Iyi-Enu Mission Hospital for medical check-up not knowing that it will be the last day I will see you on earth. From all indications, I believed it pleased the Almighty God to take you home.
I learnt so many things from you and your attributes embedded in me made me what I am today. Papa, you were a teacher; you kept on directing us on the right part. You have tried for many people and gave sacrificially. No wonder you people called you “Omeruola”.
Papa, you were a man of principle who always apply the truth and justice no matter the circumstances. You were a leader and your life was a story yet to be told since it is still unfolding even after your departure.
Out of sight is not out of mind, one day we will meet to part to more. May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace –Amen.
Adieu my super daddy
Adieu my Omelu ora

TRIBUTE TO A LOVING FATHER-IN LAW
When I think of the high death rate in this our country especially when it concerns the good people, I will say to myself that indeed the righteous ones are going home (my father-in-law not exempted).
Papa is a peace loving man from the little I have known him. He is a man of his words and a lover of the things of God. He is a faithful man to the core in fact he is the Abraham of Nnatuanya’s family. I remember when I got married to his youngest son Rev Chinedu, anytime he calls me on phone, the first thing he will ask me is “Adaeze where are you?”. And I will reply “I am in my father’s house”. His response will be, “Adaeze tell me, are you quarrelling with my son? Did he send you to your father’s house? If there is any problem, tell me so that I can call him right now”. I was moved by his concern as a good father indeed. I also remember the logic he displaced to me and my husband when we visited him, he said Chinedu bring my bible, open to the book of Revelation 3:20; and my husband said papa here it is. He said no I mean my own bible and his own bible was given to my husband and surprisingly that portion of the bible is not there, he said to him that is why I want you to buy me a new bible. Papa was a faithful man till his last breath on earth.
It came to as a bombshell when brother Tagbo told me that he is no more. I was confused about what to do but indeed Papa deserves rest. Papa, I will miss your kind words and jokes, your wisdom, your encouraging words and your fatherly love. We love you papa but God your Maker and Redeemer loves you most. Rest in the bosom of Abraham till we all shall meet to part no more.
Adieu Papa!
Adieu Simon!!
Adieu Nna Okwukwe!!!

A TRIBUTE TO MY REPRESENTING FATHER IN-LAW
I give God thanks for the life well spent. Papa, truly it was a glorious call despite that I miss you as my father-in-law. Papa you took my husband as your own biological son when he was nobody. Also, when he married me, you also took me as your own daughter-in-law. Of a truth since I came to your family, I have never for a day lack anything from you as a father-in-law. Yes, I boldly say it because I could remember those days my husband was misbehaving, you wrote a letter to him with serious hot warning. The day he laid his hand on me, you regretted deeply because your health as you said that if not you would have taught him a lesson. Papa (N’ezie) you took me as your own biological daughter-in-law.
I also remember the day I trekked to Omor for my Common Entrance Examination, you showed a great anger and asked why I did not take a bicycle for the journey. In learning, papa, I learnt from you how to pray morning and evening together with devotion with my family. I can recall how you normally do it (bianu ka anyi kpenu ekpere oo). I was so much amazed that at your age you still want to hear from the Lord daily by reading the bible. At a time because of your age, you do call your grand children to read bible for you daily. In fact, you lived a life worthy of emulation. Indeed, a legend has gone home. Papa, may your soul rest in the bossom of the Lord.

TRIBUTE TO MY FATHER-IN-LAW LATE CHIEF SIMON NNATUANYA (DMA)
Oh ! how are the mighty fallen, the iroko is gone, gone to meet the Lord.
Your death is like a bomb to us when we heard it. Although you were old, but we didn’t expect your death so soon, but God knows the best. You are a great man indeed, onye-eziokwu; you were a good husband to your wife and a great father to your children, grand children, daughter-in-law and us your in-laws.
I cannot forget your generosity towards us each time we visit Anaku to see you, your health condition notwithstanding. You were a man filled with words of wisdom and courage. You were a man of success, an achiever and a supporter of good and selfless deeds.
Your firmness and rigidity in decision making had and will always be outstanding. Though on sick bed, your meticulousness and accuracy never failed.
My in-law, the gap your departure has created in our hearts is really difficult to fill.
May the good Lord guard and keep you as you journey back to your Maker in Jesus Name –Amen.
May your soul rest in the Lord’s bossom.
Adieu Nnekwu Ogom!

A TRIBUTE TO A MAN OF FAITH –PA SIMON NNATUANYA
The man of faith is gone, an epitome of Christianity in Ayamelum in general and Anaku in particular. Pa Simon, you have parted into eternity and in the hand of God. You have run your christian faith, finished your race, the reward is now waiting for you in the kingdom of God. Your demise is a direct punch and blow to those who knew your worth. The advent of Christianity in Ayamelum including part of Enugu state cannot be mentioned without your name.
The Christian giant has gone to eternity, the question is who will replace Nnayi Simon Nnatuanya in christian gathering, public oratory, social gathering.
Pa Simon, is a man of integrity, valour, truth and outstanding figure.
We implore the family to take solace in the words of the book of Eccle 3:1-2 that says, "there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the sun, a time to be born and a time to die.
Take heart for God knows the best, it is well.

A TRIBUTE
Granpa, I thought that you would have survived from the sickness to enjoy the fruit of your labour. Papa, who will tell us stories again? Who call me Benjamin again? Papa your death is a painful one because whenever we came back to village, you would always give us assurance that you are going to stay longer so that you will see your great grand children. But death has done the worst.
Am filled with grief in my heart but I will not question the will of God Almighty whose decision is final. Grand Pa, May your soul rest in peace.

A TRIBUTE TO GRAND PA
Oh! Papa, I will forever cherish how you happily welcomed me into your home and took me as one of your sons. Your death came as a rude shock to me, even though I knew you were aged and on a routine medical check.
Papa, you were indeed a very strong grandfather. The qualities in you are immeasurable because you are a father of faith. Even when your age and health is not so good you never gave up. The legacies you left behind will continue to shine in our lives. It is too painful to know that the man who made me what I am is nowhere to be found.
My confidence is that God allow pain to come so that we will be stronger. Papa, I and my family will forever miss you but I know that you died to die to more. Your memory will remain forever in my mind, till we meet again.
Papa, may your soul rest in perfect peace.

CONDOLENCE MESSAGE TO NNATUANYA FAMILY
We received the news of your father’s death with heavy heart. You must have that death is a call every mortal must answer whenever it pleases God. It is painful and bitter once it involves a very dear one like a father.
From our observation, Mr. Simon Nnatuanya (DMA) was indeed a good father because he was so industrious, generous and hardworking. He was an epitome of patience, persistence and self-reliance. These qualities made him special and unique.
We pray God to grant Nnatuanya family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. We urge your family to look unto God, the Author and Finisher of our faith, and also be grateful to God for granting him a fulfilled life.
Evang. & Mrs. Chukwuma Peter Onochie.
