Our Spiritual friend

November 2, 2014

Sister Gemma was a Nun who belong to Passionist Nuns Monestery.

She truly was a dedicated Sister who loved us very much. When she lived in Badby  Convent many years ago we often visited her with our children. She always had a beautiful smile for us and always welcomed us with open arms. We used to love spending time with her. She taught us spirituality. She truly was a warm hearted and a loving and kind Nun.

Fourteen years ago she left Badby and returned to America her home town.

We missed her very much. I still kept in touch with her. Every year without fail we used to get a letter and a Christmas card. Sadly in recent years as she became very frail she could not write to us but we still received the Christmas news letter with all the photographs of the Nuns. In March this year we had a letter from the Superior to say she was deteriorating. We were quite sad when we heard the news. I  telephoned Sister Gemma and managed to speak to her. She was so happy to hear my voice and I was also pleased to hear her voice. She did tell me she was feeling frail and ill. I could not help her as I am far away. I told her that we will pray for her.

Few days ago I telephoned Sister and I heard that Sister has passed away and her Funeral Mass was going to be held on Saturday the 1st of November. I felt very sad that Sister has gone back to God. I know for sure that she is now in heaven enjoying the company of Angels and Saints in the presence of God.

I thank Sister Gemma for her prayers, for her love and kindness for us.

We shall miss you very much Sister.

We love you as always. Please remember us too from heaven.

Your ever loving friends from Daventry.

Julie, Tony, Andrew, James, Joseph and all the family.
