Solomon was born into the family of Mr. and Mrs. John Bassey of Ini Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, His birth date was a significant one in that it was unique date; 11th Date of the 11th Month of 1982. His Father is a officer in the Nigeria Police Force; a Force Solomon picked interest in and joined later and became a Reconnoitre/Reconnaissance Officer with the State Intelligence Bureau popularly called SIB.  

He was christened and baptised into the Mount Zion Lighthouse Church, Ikono which he later left for the Popular Power City International Church.

Slomega as he was fondly called grew faster than his mates in all ramifications of life, little wonder the Mega attached to his nickname!

Slomega's childhood was a special one; he rarely fell sick and was loved by almost everyone probably because his was light skinned.
