BIOGRAPHY

March 4, 2019

BIRTH:

Late Sir. Amaopusenibo designate Solomon Boni Wilcox (JP) was born to the families of Late Shedrack Sodienye Solom Wilcox and Late Mrs. Florence Ashigha Wilcox of Peterside Bonny, all of blessed memories.

EDUCATION:

He attended

*State Primary School Peterside,

*Municipal Council School Ikot Ekpene Street, (now known as Sangana Street), Port Harcourt and obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 1972 having lost two years to Nigeria Biafra Civil War of 1967-1970. Due to circumstances he could not attend Secondary Grammar School but by the grace if God and the passion he had fir education, his Aunt Madam C A R Wilcox afforded him the opportunity of attending Secondary Commercial School where he sat and obtained his *RSA 25WPM in Typewriting, Pitman's 35WPM and 50WPM Typewriting respectively.

*He also obtained 100WPM in Short hand.

*He further registered, sat for and obtained General Certificate of Education (GCE)...5 Credits in 1980

*Diploma in Business Administratio n Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Satelite Campus, Port Harcourt, 1999

*Advanced  Diploma in Business Administeation Obafemi Awolowo University Port Harcourt Satelite Campus in 2000

*HND in Management Rivers State Polytechnic 2003

*Post Graduate Diploma (PGD)...Rivers State University of Science and Technology 2008

WORK/CAREER:

He started work as a Forest Guard in Training in 1973 with the Ministry of Agriculture (Forestry Division). Left for school in 1974 and in July 1976 was enployed by the Rivers State Broadcasting Corporation as a Seniir Typist. He resigned in December 1980 ans joined the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) as a Typist Grade 3 and rose to the rank of a Secretary (SS2 Deputy Chief Officer Cadre). He meritoriously served NNPC for 35 goid years without a single query during which he attended serveral courses on Management abd Secretarial Administration to his credit and retired from active service to the glory if God in 2015.

*A Communicant of the Anglican Communion

*A  Knight of St. Christopher, knighted on 04/10/2010

*A member of St. James Anglican Church Ayama Peterside Bonny, PCC Secretary from 1989 till his death

*St. Cyprian's Anglican Church Port Harcourt

*Was married to Lady Molly S B Wilcox

*Had 10 children, 10 grand children.

*He was a very social fellow.
