Rest In Peace

I did not know Sonya personally however I do know her amazing and strong daughter meka. If meka is anything like her mother I know Sonya is a strong fighter that does not crack under pressure but rather feels motivated to withstand the hardship and trials at hand. Sonyas health journey was shared with me by meka and it inspired me to remain strong with my own health issues. I know Sonya fought with everything she had and gave it her all and for that I know her daughter meka can find a sense of solace with sonya’s passing. Sonya is resting peaceful with Jesus as the Bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with Christ and we can have reassurance and serenity knowing such a truth as that. Sonyas fight to beat covid and her own personal health conditions has sparked a fire within so many people to continue fighting and to never give up no matter the outcome. Sonya’s name will never be forgotten ♥️

My Amazing Strong Sister

Shared by TheQueen Chosen1 on April 15, 2021
Sonya was the second oldest of us all. She truly had an amazing spirit. She was a fighter her whole life. Sonya came to stay with me a couple of weeks and that was the Best Time. We would talk everyday and make sure we prayed together at night. She would call and say Freda come on so we can pray before I go to bed. I am so Grateful and Thankful that she saw the God in me and trusted me to pray with her. One day I was sick and could barely talk I told her she had to do the prayer and she did just that. She asked how did I do I said that was Great. We had a lot of good times together. When she knew we were the only girls left she would say It is you and me Freda.  I would go visit her after church on Sunday's and if I missed a Sunday she would call and say I missed you today. She was looking forward to my visit. We shared so many great stories and I get tickled just thinking about them. I miss my sister dearly. Not one day goes by that I do not think of her. I cherish the memories. It took a lot for me to write this because it seems unreal. One thing I know for sure is that she gave her life to Christ. To God Be the Glory for all He has Done. I love You your baby sister Freda.

My babysitter ....who ..Always wore a smile on her face.   I spent plenty of days with Sonya during the Summer when school was out and  mom and dad had to work. We played games and took walks.  She even pierced my ears when I was 9 . I will never forget. A clothes pin on each ear. Hot water on the stove and a needle in her hand. She was  Always caring, sharing and helping others. Love Always Cuz....

An angel visiting Earth

Momma was an amazing woman that many got the opportunity to be blessed by.  She always had a smile on her face or kind words coming out her mouth when I saw her. She was an amazing inspiration to my sister and niece and nephew. I will always cherish that she kept her door opened for my brother and never turned him away even with many reasons to do so. She exemplified love and was truly an angel God loaned us for a while.

my name is dean well (poppy) Im a proud grand parent of Mr javotae and honesty. My son who is honesty dad. Never had any worries that whenever he knocked on Ms Sonya door she would asked why you are not over your dads. She knew and let him in feed him and gave him some money and ho home to your daddy. Regardless Ms Sonya never met a stranger and always treated my family as family. There aren't many people who would treat you the same every single time with love and consideration. If u didn't get the honor to meet her you truly missed out on a real O.G. You are missed loved and get wait to see you my sister
