Thank you again little cousin for your service to our country and our freedoms. Thinking of you on this day and hopeful that those that you left behind way to soon are doing well.
Hello Sir, I never met you but I live in Shelby. At the park today my kids wanted a picture next to your memorial so we took one. I must admit that although I've live here for 6 years I've never taken the time to figure out who this memorial was for, until today. You were born just 2 years before me and gone much to soon. I looked you up online and I can tell you were and would have continued to be a great man! After being led to this page and reading the comments on here I felt the need to say thank you Sir for your sacrifice so my family can have the freedoms we do. I know you and many of your brothers in arms have payed much to great a price and none of you get the recognition you deserve. From one American to another, thank you for your service and sacrifice for this great country!
Your family in Colorado were just thinking and talking about you last week. We all appreciate your service and hope that the kids and those that you left behind are well.
Remembering you today especially, and missing you sweet Blake! I cherish the memory of your silly laugh and beautiful smile! I know know would be so proud of your son, Simon is a forever reminder of his daddy.

Miss you Blake! Every time i drive through Shelby, I think of you. Seeing that wonderful tribute right along the highway is enough to bring a tear to my eye. Rest in peace friend.
On this Memorial Day you will be remembered. I did all I could to save you that fateful day. Although I only knew you briefly you will be missed. God bless your soul. Rest in Peace.
