"Happy Birthday"

"I had the honor to serve with SPC Hercules while with the 4-101. We both were coming home for leave and that is when I really got to know him . It was so cool to see how excited he was to be able to meet his son for the first time, the normal proud father. For the whole trip back he had a smile from ear to ear and ants in his pants. The trip back to theater was even more so, a father that was beyond proud and excited. In that short time (about a week in all ) I got to know him so well, it is my greats memory of my deployments. I have never forgot about him and talk about that time frequently with othes when they ask what it was like. Today May 20, 2017 at Ft Lee we had a Run for the Fallen, and SPC Hercules was the one I ran for. I will never forget you and I thank you for letting my be part of your world even if for such a brief moment. You changed my life and never knew it."
