Duane Spencer Davis, 44, a resident of 303  27th Street, Butner, NC, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Duke University Hospital.

A native of Durham County, the son of the late Wilbur S. Davis.  He was of the Baptist Faith and medically retired.

 

Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 30, 2011 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Creedmoor by Rev. Floyd Jackson.  Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens.

Surviving are his mother, Betsy Jo Davis of the home, a daughter, Crystal Colclough (Adam) of Durham, a son Tristen Davis of Oxford, a brother, Joey Johnson of Oxford and two grandsons, Rhyse Colclough abd Addeison Colclough.

 

Visitation will be held from 7:00 – 8:30 PM Monday, August 29, 2011 at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and other times at the home.

I graduated with Spencer and remember him always being very happy and outgoing. He never met a stranger and will truly be missed. God bless you my friend - until we meet again!

I went to school with Spencer and graduated with him at SGHS in 1985. Spencer always found a way to laugh and make those around him laugh. I am very sorry for his family and pray that God will be your support.

Spencer and I were the best of friends growing up. I spent more time at his house than my own in the summers. Joe was like my second Mom. You may be gone but I have so many memories to always cherish. Love, Carol Adams Pruitt

Spencer and I used ride our bikes around the dirt track he had built up behind his house. He was a good friend and a good person. He will be missed.
