I remember meeting Ken guarding our gates at the 1776 Armory in Lincoln NE. He was very serious in that position and we became friends right away. I worked in the armory and had quite a few visits from him. I was so happy to have seen him when he was on leave from Iraq. Loved that smile of his and he said when he was done with this tour he was coming back to be the best father. …… of course that did not happen. I have known his kids their whole life and when I see them I always try to give big hugs since their Dad can’t. They are good boys and he would be proud of them. Continue to rest high Ken and we will never forget you!! Thank you for your service my friend

"The Final Roll Call"

November 10, 2011

We thought of you with love today, But that is nothing new.

We thought about you yesterday, And days before that too.

We think of you in silence, We often speak your name.

Now all we have are memories, And your picture in a Frame.

Your memory is our keepsake, WIth which we'll never part.

God has you in his keeping,

We have you in our Heart.

                                          Author Unkown.

From child hood, through youth, and into adulthood, we stuck together. Letters that were written, and long distance phone calls that were made, will never be forgotten. Each milestone he made in his life, made me proud to be his Big Sis. He is dearly missed each and everyday by those hearts he touched, and the lives he entered. May he live on in the hearts of those who love him.
