During the Krok family vacation of 2014, Shannon took this picture of Stacey.   They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and this one seems to be.    It is one of my favorite pictures because it so perfectly captures her active lifestyle, her strength, and her focus on her kids.    We love you very much, Stacey. 

Last spring we decided to get the families together for a summer vacation and Stacey's immediate suggestion was Costa Rica!  Coming to our senses a bit, we decided on a Dude Ranch (still in the US, remote, but not so remote).  We traveled into Jackson Hole, WY and made our way (all 8 of us in a Chevy Tahoe) through the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, and to Ranch 63 in Livingston, MT.  We all rode our own trusted steed every day, and no one fell off, not even when we hearded cattle across the plains!  

We went crazy white water rafting in Yellowstone.  The kids roasted smores in a teepee, caught frogs and played for hours in a freezing creek (literally freezing - there should have been ice on it!), we square danced, ate, drank, stargazed and watched an amazing thunderstorm pass through.  Everyone had a fantastic time - boots, jeans, cowboy hats and all.  What an amazing adventure!
