Standley Thomas Gardner of Trussville, AL has moved on to his new home with the Good Lord on February 9, 2023. He was 91 years of age, born on July 7, 1931. His bride of 67 years, Holly McClain Gardner went on ahead of him in 2020 to get everything just right. Tom has resided in Trussville for 13 years. Prior to that, he lived in Nashville, TN for over 40 years. He grew up in Mt Lebanon, PA from his birth through his early married years. Tom was a long time member of First Christian Church in Nashville, TN where he served as Chairman of the Board. He was a member of CrossPoint Baptist Church and the Room 4 More Sunday School class in Trussville, AL.They raised three successful daughters. Sherry Gardner-Fletcher is a marketing consultant in Memphis, TN. Dr. Sandy Gardner has a thriving OB-Gyn practice in Cincinnati, OH. Stacy Walker was at Mead Corporation in Dayton, OH before raising and home schooling three wonderful children. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Stan and Grace Gardner and his brother Kenny. He has three daughters, Sherry Gardner-Fletcher (Richard), Sandy Gardner DeWees (Tom), and Stacy Gardner Walker (Bill), 6 grandchildren, Bradley Fletcher, Olivia Walker, Alexis Walker, Mary Kate DeWees, TJ DeWees, and Joshua Walker, and 3 great grandchildren, Parker Fletcher, Makenna Fletcher, and Joseph Fletcher. There will be a ceremony celebrating his life on Monday, February 13, 2023 at 2:00 pm at CrossPoint Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Grace House of Memphis ( http://www.gracehouseofmemphis.org ).

I will always remember my Uncle as a good, kind man with a giant heart filled with love for his family and friends.
And the visits... I will always cherish the time spent in his company.

May The Lord keep him and all our departed family forever in His care.
May he find Peace at last and so too for all his loved ones.
