There are not enough words to say about this gentle man! I have known him most of my life. He was a personal friend of my father. I have many memories going to the police station in Center, Texas...where Stanley and Ms. Betty worked....to go visit with them. He was a kind gentle man.  I know it will be a rough road for everyone that knew him. Stanley you will be truly missed....by family....friends....and the community. RIP-Stanley....WE LOVE YOU!

Pauline and I will always have a special memory of Stanley Burgay. I had accidentally shot my hand about 4 years ago, And the Timpson Police Dept had responded! The Medics who responded that evening were taking care of me as I overheard the policeman question Pauline as to where she was and what she was doing at the time of the incident. The tone that he had taken toward her as he questioned her was leading to where it should not go. Stanley had arrived a few moments earlier, And he saw the concern on my face. He immediately went to my wife's rescue. He spoke briefly with the officer!!!! After he had spoken with him, The Timpson Officer left and Stanley took over. Pauline and I will forever be thankful, And remember Stanley Burgay For his intervention that day!!!!!
Another time in our Church at "Good Hope Baptist", My wife and I sang a song that morning. As I was returning to my seat Stanley shook my hand as I passed him and said to me, That song is my favorite of all the songs you sing, The song was "Come Morning"!!!!!! Well Bro. Stanley Burgay, Some day our morning will come, And we will meet you "By The River"! "Rest In Peace, In The Arms of Jesus"!!!! Down here you will be missed, But we know that you will be watching over us from above.......
