Thank you again for all the prayers, love and support during this time.
Our fathers are always there to welcome us into the world, support our growth and protect us. I just recently met Shirnett and must say that Stanley did a most wonderful job of growing her into someone that is impacting the world positively. I have never met Stanley but my Messianic belief tells me that one day I will meet him and that God will remove this painful event of death finally. In the meantime, I express my deepest sympathy for the family and that they find great joy in all the great times that they enjoyed together.
Maas Stanley, I knew you through Fay as ‘Papa’. I was so impressed at your strength and resilience throughout your illness. You became my inspiration.
I’m so sorry that you had to leave so soon but I know you’re in the comforting arms of our Heavenly Father.
I pray for strength and peace for Mama and your family. Sleep in peace, Papa.

Fay and family, remember that grief is the last act of love we have to give to those we loved. Where there is deep grief, there is great love. Papa Bailey, although you are not physically on earth with your family, your spirit lives on. Wherever a good soul has been there is a trail of positive memories. You did God’s work now Rest In Peace with Christ.

Shirnett and family,
My heartfelt condolences on the passing of your beloved 'Papa'. Know that he is with you in spirit and though you will be tempted to feel sadness as he is physically gone , take joy in all the memories! All the laughter you shared through the years, the playful times, the hugs and all the times he would beam so proudly up at you- his daughter. Remember his pride and love for all of his family. May you and your family be comforted and may Papa's soul Rest In Peace.

When I spoke to Papa a week before his passing he was hopeful, he told me I should come soon, as he missed our nightly domino games. Papa would rest during the day and present himself at the table at 6pm sharp; ready to play! We would play for hours and I would have to decide that it’s bed time at 11pm. When he is settled in bed I could hear him praying for his wife, his children, grandchildren, friends and family.
He enjoyed two main things in his later years - playing domino and going to visit friends in St Elizabeth. He would take produce from Manchester like yams and Irish potatoes.
Papa would tell me his life story over and over again. He worked very hard from a young age and achieved much with the help of our mother.
It was very hard coming home, and realizing that he is not here. I often pass his room and find myself saying good morning Papa and goodnight Papa as I often did when he was with us.
Papa, we will always miss you, but we are also thankful that you are gone to a better place. You are in no more pain. Rest In Peace.

Papa aka Mass Stanley aka Stout aka Tete was a great and unique man filled with jokes and he was the greatest domino player I have ever seen. When we are playing he would read out my own hand to me and tell me when I pass even before I knew it and no one was able to beat him at dominoes unless it was a
partner game then if he lost it would be his "partner's fault"
When I accompanied him to his farm a few times they were two things I was sure to get roast yam and roast sweet potato and I remember when I was very little he would let me ride his donkey " lotto" .
Rest in peace Pops . Gone but forever in our hearts .

He Is Gone
You can shed tears that he is gone
Or you can smile because he has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see him
Or you can be full of the love that you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember him and only that he is gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

When I first met papa in 2006 he came to Orlando for Joan and my wedding. I was very
Nervous but in just minutes he made me feel like family. While at the wedding he told me
You are my son now . It was very special to
Me to have his acceptance. As the years went
On we had great moments together going for long rides and talking about his youth , farming and his family who he loved so much.
I will always remember “ The Walk” he took
Me on around his town and introduced me
To his neighbors.it made me feel very special.
This was the loving man he was. Papa I will
Think of these memories and the special
Man you are the rest of my life. I will love you and miss you forever. Thank you for sharing
A piece of your life with me.

Don’t think of papa as gone away his journey has just begun. Life holds so many faucets this world is only one.
Just think of Papa as resting from the pain of his illness and in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days or years.
Think how he is wishing our sadness would go away.
Think of him of living in the hearts of those he loved for nothing loved is never lost.
Rest In Peace Papa. We will miss you

To Papa, the man who blessed me with my amazing mother (Shirnett) all of my aunties and my uncle; the man who started the generation of Baileys, raised 9 kids on a farmer's income. He taught me strength, ambition, and many many jokes that I’ll never forget. One of the strongest people I’ve ever met on earth, I love you Papa. I hope you are finally at peace. The family misses you, this isn’t a goodbye, it’s a see you later ❤️
Love, Joni.

My sincere condolences to the family. Having personally met Mass Stanley, he was a gentle, sincere and kind person. These characteristics also resonate in his children who cherished and adored him. May his soul rests in peace. May the God of comfort be especially with Ms. Bibsy and the rest of the family.
Papa was a man who enjoyed life. He stayed up at the last celebration that we had for my Mom. When most of the younger crowd faded he was still there for the party. May God walk with u Papa. You are greatly missed.
Blessed is the man who lives and dies peacefully!!!! No regrets! It has been a joy to share in the love of this family for this beloved patriarch!! One day death will die!!!
Condolences to the entire family especially Fay my fellow Holmwood Alumni and past co-worker at the BSJ. She supported me through my losses. I met her dad and he was a such a gentle giant and a man of few words. He was revered in the community. May his soul Rest in Eternal Peace.
Fay and family, sorry for your loss. Wishing you peace to bring comfort, strength to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts. Your dad is safely in the hands of the Lord. May his soul RIP.
Goodbyes are not forever Paps, Goodbyes are not the end, They simply means I’ll miss you until we meet again...
He will forever occupy a very special corner of my heart. Having the honor to talk, and laugh with him while sharing his stories with me , upon our first meeting just 2 years ago. It was an honor and a privilege I will always cheerish.
I love you all muchly!

Those we love don’t go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
I miss you papa
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
I miss you papa
God saw him getting tired,
and a cure was not to be
So he put his arms around him
and whispered
"Come to me."
With tearful eyes
we watched him suffer , and
saw him slowly fade away.
Although we loved him dearly,
we could not make him stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands put to rest,
God broke our hearts
to prove to us,
He only takes the best.

Age shall not weary him, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning
We will remember him."
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning
We will remember him."
As we look back over time
We find ourselves wondering …..
Did we remember to thank you enough?
For all, you have done for us?
For all the times you were by our sides
To help and support us …..
To celebrate our successes
To understand our problems
And accept our defeats?
Or for teaching us to be strong
The value of hard work, good judgment,
Courage and integrity?
We wonder if we ever thanked you
For the sacrifices you made.
You have worked day and night
To let us have the very best?
And for the simple things
Like laughter, smiles, and times we shared?
If we have forgotten to show our
Gratitude enough for all the things you did,
We’re thanking you now, PAPA
And we are hoping you knew all along,
How much you meant to us.
Now I think of all achievements ‘tis the least
To perpetuate the species; it is done
By the insect and the serpent, and the beast.
But the man who keeps his body, and his thought,
Worth bestowing on an offspring love-begot,
Then the highest earthly glory he was won,
When in pride a grown-up daughter and a son
Says ‘That’s My PAPA.
