"What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived; and that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget"

We celebrate the life of Stanley Nathanial Bailey. Born January 9th 1936. Passed away on January 20th, 2021.

Stanley was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Brother. He was called by many names including Stout, Teteh, Mass Stanley among others, but most of all he was Papa. He lived a full life, and was always an inspiration to everyone who knew him. You can always count on Papa to have words of wisdom to impart to all he met.   When he wasn’t counseling, he was teaching or otherwise inspiring.

He was a shopkeeper, butcher and a master farmer for most of his adult life.  He positively impacted the lives of hundreds throughout his community and beyond.

Stout was a pillar of the community and was always at the forefront of ensuring that the entire district was progressing, and everyone was cared for.  Papa never met a stranger.  He had friends in every parish in the country of Jamaica, was well known for his giving nature, as well as robust and strong personality.

Papa had an unwavering passion to ensure that his children were educated and that his family was always provided for. He worked day and night to provide and care for everyone who was around him, Family or not. Papa will be deeply missed and there is forever an empty space in our hearts until we meet our beloved again.

He was A STRONG man and he imparted that strength. If we should ask each other to say in one word what we got from Papa, that word would be “STRENGTH”

We know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death.
They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make.
Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories.
We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.

We love and miss you Papa.
