About a month ago I was going for a run in downtown Lemont and I always would run by Grandpa’s apartment to see if he was on his balcony. This one particular day he was on his balcony enjoying a Diet Coke in a wine glass. We were chatting from a distance and before I left he offered me a water bottle from inside. After about 3 minutes he came back out onto the balcony with a water bottle in one hand and a big candy bar in the other. I told him that I couldn’t have the candy bar because I was exercising, but he insisted that it would “give me energy.” He threw the water and candy down to me and I ran home laughing because it was so Grandpa to do something likethat ❤️
