Dearest Granny I can’t believe it’s been 21 years since we last had our very special tete a tete. I enjoyed those special moments and will continue to treasure them forever. My Dearest Grandma Yesufu
We celebrate 20 years since you went to join our heavenly creator. I thank Yahuwah for your life well spent.
You are truly missed as you were a phenomenal grandma. I remember how excited I used to be when I knew we were coming over to visit you as I always looked forward to the chinchin and biscuit stashed in your tin which you were always ready to give us all when we got to yours and the juicy pink Nigerian apples that we used to get from your apple tree in your garden.
You were such a natural beauty. I recall your constant use of Shea butter (Ori) and remember you telling me that it was natural butter for the skin. Due to this, I use it constantly till this day.
Thank you so much for all your love and care and thank you for giving me my dad who today is my rock and pillar
Keep resting in perfect peace Ma. Your legacy reigns forever.

Love You Eternally:
Your Youngest Grand daughter

A Posthumous Tribute From Aunty Bimbo:

Sissy, Sissy, Sissy, my Dearest Mother, Although I was the youngest of your three Children however you always made me feel extra special with your Love.

You were always there to share my Joys, laugh with me and also cry with me when life became painful.

Your determination and strength encouraged us your Children to aspire to excel and your love, passion and commitment to both your nuclear Family and the extended family was unshakeable.

I remember the love between you and your Sisters and how the three of you supported each other through the vagaries of life.

You taught me to hold on to the Bible (the Word of God ) as my eternal refuge and I won innumerable victories in Life through your schooling me in Prayer.

I distinctly recall at one pivotal point in my Life, I was terrified of some challenges that came up and I ran to you for solace. You sat me down and said "Let's pray together" .

After the Prayers you gave me a Psalm to read and assured me that the Lord God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Those prayers , counsel and assurance strengthed my faith immeasurably and gave me the Courage to overcome that challenge and many others after that.

You stood staunchly by your Husband , my Dad throughout his lifetime and ensured that the Family remained united and triumphant through all the vicissitudes of Life.

We remember you Sissy.

You were an exemplary Wife, Mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Requiescat in pace
In Jesus Christ's name Amen.

Tribute by your loving Daughter Chief (Mrs) Olufunke, Olubunmi Onibuwe- Johnson

Mama Mi Owan; we are remembering you today twenty years after your passing to glory. it seems only like yesterday when the children and I spent quality time with you at your beautiful home and as usual you welcomed us warmly and cooked one of your favourite delicacies for us. You were an inspiring and generous mum and the most selfless person I know who listened attentively to everyone and reasoned with them. The last twenty years has been difficult, really difficult but we have stayed united because you brought us up with great Christian family values which I will treasure for the rest of my life. I honour you today as always and your legacy lives on Mama Mi (Sissy) you are sorely missed by us all; your children, grandchildren and great grand children and by his grace your amazing legacy lives on!

I continue to take solace knowing that
those we love don’t just go away
they walk beside us everyday
Unseen , unheard but always near
Still loved, still missed and Very Dear.

Adieu Sissy you will be Forever missed by the Okenla family.
Your loving daughter
Olufunke Onibuwe - Johnson
