The first day I met my father in law, I was worried at first! Shant told me that he might be strict or straightforward. So I was on my best behaviour. But just within minutes of meeting him, he was so quick to warm up to me and I to him. He was so warm, kind, gentle, funny, intelligent, and easy to talk to. He had such a caring and sweet heart. He had a unique sense of humour that always made us laugh and inspiring intelligence. I am so blessed to have him as my father in law. The only regret is not meeting him sooner to also be enlightened with his life lessons that he had given Shant. Over the last few years that I have known him, we created wonderful memories together as a family that will always be cherished. He loved his grandkids- Noël and Jetta very much and they always ran to him whenever he was in the room. We will all miss him but know that he is in our hearts always. Rest In Peace and paradise Dede. We love you.

I still remember all the life lessons my dad passed on to me. When I was very young, he would spend time telling me stories of Napoleon. As I got older, my dad was always there with me while I played and he believed in letting me experiment and expand my mind while playing. Then as I got older, his teachings became deeper in meaning. “Devient quelqu’un pour ne pas devenir quelconque”/“Become someone so that you don’t become anyone”. May you Rest In Peace dad! You are liberated from your earthly prison that was holding your mind back. You will always be remembered in my heart and the heart of your family.
