Stephen was unfortunately shot and killed by a 26 yr old man in Baltimore on Oct.1, 2020 for no legit reason. He leaves behind a daughter, Anni, who he loved more than anything! Anyone that knew Steve personally knows how great of a guy he was! He always was joking around and could make anybody laugh even at the serious of times. He would do anything if ya asked or needed him to! Stephen was a sub contractor and ran a small crew of guys  doing roofing throughout the county for a couple yrs. Stephen also could play the drums and was in his dad's band who played locally in and around Garrett county. Stephen could fix just about anything on anything and was very smart and talented in many different ways. Stephen loved his family, both sides! His mom was always devoted in trying to help and  do the best for him in any way she could. She was that mom that texted "goodnight and I love you" every single nite! Stephen made some bad choices at times as we all have, he struggled with addiction on and off but that never made him any different at heart. He took on the role of being a dad to Nikki's kids prior to them having Anni and he did it with no questions asked at a young age but that's who he was. Stephen was murdered that day for taking up for a close friend who was with him. The friend got robbed while sitting in Stephens car on a street well known for criminal activity.  Stephen took off on foot after the man took his  friends money thru the car window and it cost him his life . He chased the guy into a church parking lot where he was shot and killed, when paramedics arrived Stephen was dead but they were able to resuscitate him and put him on life support till his family was contacted and able to make a decision. The night before he left to go there, his mom's number was wrote on a piece of paper and stuck in his wallet, that's the only way they were able to identify who Stephen was. Stephen was taken off life support early morning oct.2 by the choice of his mother and father due to his condition, his spinal cord was severed and he was not responding to any of the test they did. So many peoples lives were changed that day. To this day the suspect has yet to appear in court for sentencing, however after watching the street cameras and identifying the shooter, police were able to make an arrest and charge a man who remains in custody to this day. This was a tragic and wreckless event that was not fair, and took the life of a guy who made so many feel full of life. The person he was addict or not he def did not deserve to have his life taken from him, God must of needed him more than we did, even tho we sometimes feel like that couldn't be true. Everything happens for a reason the good and the bad. Forever 24 you'll always be missed !
