Mr. Stephen Anjikwi Mshelia was born on the 5th of January, 1952 in Debiro Village of Biu, Local Government Area of Borno State to the family of Gwamna Naki and Matagi Kwamtin.
As bright young boy he began his educationin Debiro Primary School in 1959. Following the completion of his primary education in Shaffa Primary School, he proceeded to the Prestigious Government College, Keffi at the time in Plateau State from 1966 to 1970. He was an alumnus of the Department of Banking and Finance Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and Center for Business Studies, London UK.
He married Gloria Kulahyer Mbaya on the 19th of April, 1975 his wife of 45 years. They were blessed with 4 beloved children - Hyeladzira, Rifkatu, Samson and Esther; with 2 grand children - Comfort and Grace. 
Mr. Anjikwi Stephen Mshelia began his Career with defunct Bank of the North Limited in 1971 as a clerk in Kano main branch, rose through the ranks and served meritoriously for 33 years until his retirement from active service as the General Manager, Special Duties Bank of the North Headquarters, Kano in 2004.
Mr. Anjikwi Stephen Mshelia loved God and served him diligently. He served in various capacities including as an Usher, Elder, Chairperson of various building committees. He is very passionate about construction and gardening.  
The churches he served include ECWA Good News, Jos; ECWA English Section (Now ECWA Gospel Center) Kano; ECWA Church Jerusalem, Maiduguri and until his call to glory ECWA Unity Church Rayfield, Jos, Plateau State.
Baba Stephen Anjikwi Mshelia slept in the Lord on the 23rd of May, 2020 after a brief illness.
