I just read about Steve's death in the Theta Chi Rattle. Although I lost contact with Steve many years ago, he was a guy that is indelibly etched in my mind in a positive way. Genuine, unpretentious, easy going. He enjoyed having a good time, laughing and looked on the brighter side of life. Everyone liked Steve! The people that got to know Steve in college and the fraternity were better for it........and I know the same thing happened as Steve later traveled through life interacting with his family, friends, coworkers, etc. He was a class act. Thank you to the family for posting this memorial and sharing photos of Steve's life.  It brings back warm, positive feelings. John Watkins

I met Steve in 1965 at San Gabriel High School and we quickly became friends. We had some great times in school and enjoyed competing in and organizing skill/gimmick car rallies. We shared more time together at CSULA and continued to see each other over the years. He was always such a great guy and good friend! Unfortunately we recently lost touch and I'm sad for losing that time together. Peace be yours, my old friend. You can now rest in the dwelling place prepared for you by our Lord and Eternal Savior, Jesus Christ.

A good friend and brother. We saw each other infrequently but I remember our days at Theta Chi the reunion in Las Vegas and our many emails over the last few years. My prayers and thoughts are with your family. May you rest now in the arms of our Lord.
