His Life
March 6, 2023
Kent passed away from a long battle with cancer. He had been battling it since October 2007. He went into remission in October 2008. Then in October 2018 the cancer came back very aggressively. He did chemo, autoimmune therapy and a stem cell transplant. The transplant failed and from then on, things went down hill. He said he wished he would have never done the transplant. He was in and out of the hospital since the transplant. The cancer would not go away, they tried everything. Kent was getting weaker and weaker. He told me, I’m tired, so tired. I’m ready to go, I just don’t want to leave you alone. Plus we have so many plans left to do. I want to see my girls graduate and have kids. I want to see the grandkids grow up. I want to grow old with you. I wish we would have meet back when we were both working in Beaumont in the late 1990’s or early 2000’s. The last 3 words he spoke were I LOVE YOU! After that they put the ventilator in. All I could do was lay my head on him, kiss him and hold his hands. Kent, this isn’t GOODBYE, this is SEE YOU LATER!

Kent left behind 5 Daughters, 2 grandsons, a granddaughter, a wife, parents & a sister and many other family and friends. Daughters: Carly, Kalea, Lacee, Madyson & Emma.. Grandsons: Silas & Hollis.. Granddaughter: Preslea.. Wife: Tonya..  Parents: Sam & Joy.. Sister: Shelly..

God loaned Kent to me for almost 10 years. I am grateful that I was able to be with him when he needed me the most. Thank you Kent, for choosing me to be your soulmate & wife! Until we meet again!
